Undercarriage

Prentice Track Harvesters feature a proven X-design carbody and large, forestry-duty track system. The high walker carbody is built with rugged, precision-welded frames to reduce flexing and increase service life for rollers and track links. The frame also includes integrated welded track guards and side rails that prevent debris from collecting around the undercarriage.

Boom Options

Prentice Track Harvesters deliver maximum productivity in a wide variety of applications. Equipped with the standard boom, the reach ranges from 6.5-7.0 m (21 to 23 feet), while the optional telescoping “V” bottom (5-sided) harvester boom extends the reach to 8.2 M (27 feet). With either option, the large, heavy duty swing bearing provides a solid platform for extended service life.

Hydraulic System

The Prentice 2090 and 2190 are equipped with a variable-displacement, load-sensing hydraulic system backed by 378 L (81 gpm) hydraulic flow and 545 Bar (5,000 psi) pressure.

Operator Station

Operator comfort starts with an ergonomically designed shock suspension seat and standard climate control system to reduce operator fatigue and improve productivity. The forestry cab used on the 2090 and 2190 Track Harvesters was not only designed with heavy-duty structures, to meet FOPS/ROPS/OPS requirements, but for exceptional visibility, as well. The cab-forward design, compact rear engine compartment design and forward sloping front window, which easily sheds debris, optimizes visibility to the front, rear and sides for improved operator efficiency. The special front entry cab door further adds to the operator-friendly environment.

Powertrain

Featuring the latest in engine technology, the Cat® C6.6 Acert engine used in the 2090 and 2190 Track Harvester models meets all mandated EPA off-road Tier 3 emissions regulations… without sacrificing performance, durability, reliability or fuel economy. The in-line, 6-cylinder Cat engine is also built for greater power and lower maintenance, thanks to its innovative design.

Balanced Fuel Capacity

The Model 2090 and 2190 come with a 378.5 Liter (100-gallon) fuel tank for less time spent refueling and greater productivity. The large-capacity fuel tank and 227.1 Liter (60-gallon) hydraulic oil reservoir are integrated into the counterweight design to provide unparalleled access to the complete hydraulic system.

Quick, Easy Service Access

Prentice models feature a tilt cab that allows quick, easy access to the engine, cooling system, rotary swivel and other cab components for periodic service and maintenance.

Computer-Based Control

Conveniently placed controls and joysticks that operate all major implement functions provide easy operation. An easy-to-read IQAN computer-based system allows the operator to continually monitor all machine functions on a full-color graphics screen. The IQAN system also allows. The operator to maintain precise control through the fully proportional valving system. The system even provides early warning of any potential problems.
