Job Description
Construction Equipment Mechanic / Service Technician:
Pat Kelly Equipment Co. is looking for a full-time construction equipment service technician with a strong work ethic who will thrive in a family-owned business environment. This position is primarily responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of light to heavy construction machinery. We are looking for a dedicated, self-motivated individual with heavy equipment knowledge specifically skilled in the fields of hydraulics, electronics, and engine repair. This position requires the ability to work well both independently and cohesively with others to troubleshoot, repair, and service various types of heavy machinery for both customer-owned and company owned equipment. Tasks will differ day-to-day as assigned by the service manager.

Skill Requirements:
Attention to Detail - Some parts need to be in the exact right place, or they will not work. Being able to pay attention to the minute details of heavy equipment repair will be necessary.
Mechanical Skills - Will need familiarity with parts and components of complex machinery and engines, as well as the tools to fix them.
Technical Skills - Will need to be familiar with electronics and be able to read schematics, or use electronic diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot repairs.
Manual Dexterity - Good hands and great hand-eye coordination help heavy equipment mechanics be successful.
Troubleshooting Skills -This individual will need to be able to look at mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, identify problems, and think about possible solutions
Communication - Communicates effectively and professionally when reporting to the service manager.
Teamwork - Embodies a teamwork mentality to work cohesively with other team members and departments
Training & Development - Eagerness to learn from peers and through equipment manufacturer training programs
Safety - Dedication to working safely without presenting a direct threat to self or others.
Data Reporting - Capable of accurately equipment service reports for record-keeping.
Analyzing - Knowledgeable when it comes to reading, understanding, and applying information from charts, graphs, and manuals.
Computer Skills - Possesses basic knowledge of computer skills and Microsoft Office software.
Time Management - Driven to complete repairs in a timely manner while maintaining a high-quality level of work.
Aptitude in using various hand tools (screwdrivers, hammers etc.) and precision measurement tools (e.g. calipers) as well as power tools (e.g. impact driver).

Qualifications
Education/Training Requirements:
Language: English
High school diploma/GED
Vocational training/certification
1-3 years of heavy equipment service related experience required
Hands-on training will be provided on the job in addition to training from our equipment manufacturers. Certain industry service certifications will be provided when necessary.

Experience Requirements:
Proven experience as Mechanic / Service Technician
A valid commercial driver's license (CDL) or willingness to obtain one via the Missouri state DMV.
Expected to perform incidental welding operations on equipment. Welding knowledge and experience in the field is preferred.
Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations and turnaround times, develop skill sets, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively to provide quality seamless customer service.
Knows the hazards of the job and is trained in safety precautions of the trade.

Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a standing position for extended periods of time.
Applicants must be physically able and prepared to work indoors and outdoors with exposure to elements.
May have exposure to chemicals, including but not limited to gasoline, diesel fuel, propane, kerosene, and cleaning solvents.
Must be capable of lifting arms above shoulder level to install and remove components as well as bend or stoop repeatedly over time.
Must maintain a professional personal appearance.
Must be capable of manipulating tools in areas of limited spaces.
Physical strength is required to occasionally move and manipulate heavy objects short distances (lifting equipment available).

Position: Accounts Receivable Representative

Job Description:

Pat Kelly Equipment Co. is currently looking for a self-motivated, dynamic Accounts Receivable Representative who will thrive in a small business environment. The A/R representative works with the Office Manager/Controller to manage the daily operations and strategic objectives of the company's accounts receivable cycle through design, implementation, maintenance, and management of all accounts receivable business functions and procedures for the accounts receivable collection process. This individual will coordinate with all internal departments to manage proper invoicing within standard policies reflective of the customer's requirements. He or she shall work with any and all personnel to help assure timely and accurate invoicing and rating occurs.
Reports To: President/Owner

Responsibilities (Duties include, but are not limited to the following):

Oversee customer billing and cash receipts processing
Proper recording and application of cash, management of outstanding invoices, and direct interfacing with customers on collection matters.
Answer and direct phone calls in a courteous and professional manner.
Provide timely and accurate payment and account standing information
Assure timely collection of monies due to Pat Kelly Equipment
Monitor and report on deviations from credit standards
Assure timely and accurate invoicing
Manage cash application making sure all cash receipts are applied properly
Conduct credit checks on all customers, establish and manage limits
Make recommendations to improve the quality of invoicing and collection procedures
Weekly reporting of invoicing totals/aging totals/cash receipts/invoice adjustments
Additional duties relative to the position as assigned

Experience Required:

Minimum 3- 5 years of work experience in credit/collections with responsibility for direct customer contact
In-depth knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting in accordance with government laws and procedures
Extensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
Bookkeeping skills and experience are preferred
Well-developed analytic and problem-solving skills
Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities at a time
Excellent listening, written, and verbal communication skills
Successful in dealing with customer and company personnel at all levels
High degree of integrity including the ability to successfully deal with sensitive or confidential information

Equipment Rental Representative

Pat Kelly Equipment Co. is looking for a dynamic and motivated individual who will thrive in a small business environment. The Equipment Rental Representative must be able to service customers in a polite, friendly, and professional manner whether in person or on the telephone. They must assist them with reservations, contracts, questions, register transactions, and order adjustments. They also must be able to process cash and credit card payments, as well as make changes and credits.

Responsibilities:

Rents equipment or arranges for provision of service to customer.
Prepares rental forms and contracts, obtains customer signature and other information as required.
Maintains daily contract file.
Computes charges based on rental or service rate.
Explains rental fees and provides information about rented items, such as operation or description.
Collects deposit or payment or records credit charges by maintaining customer charge file daily and balancing daily sales receipts.
Gathers insurance information and qualifies customers
Answers telephone and receives orders by phone or email.
Recommends items to customers that meet their needs.
Reserves items for requested time and maintains rental reservation file.
Updates/calls overdue list daily and alerts supervisor of overdue contracts.
Cleans and prepares equipment for pick-up or delivery.
Checks equipment for damages or required maintenance upon return
Coordinates equipment maintenance with service department
Inventories retail sales merchandise and advises supervisor of low levels of merchandise.
Assists customer with the loading and unloading of equipment when necessary. May also need to demonstrate safety features and operational features of the equipment.
Resolves customer problems.
Report safety violations to supervisor.
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, rules and regulations in written or verbal form.
Comply with government safety requirements and other regulations and security in store.
Attend department, store and safety meetings.
Works cohesively with all departments to ensure a successful work environment
Must possess a strong work ethic and organizational skills for daily tasks.
Perform other duties as requested.

Education & Experience Qualifications:

A High School diploma or GED required
Related professional experience is preferred
Higher education including completion of a 2-4 year degree, vocational training/certification, or military experience is desired
Valid Driver's license required as well as reliable transportation to and from work
Familiarity with various types of construction/industrial tools & equipment
Previous equipment rental industry experience preferred
Strong customer service & telephone skills
Solid computer and administrative skills. (Windows OS, Microsoft Office, rental management software, point-of-sale software)
Successful completion of the DOT Qualification process preferred

Working Conditions:

Must stand for long periods of time. Applicant must be physically able and prepared to work indoors and outdoors with exposure to elements. The job requires constant interaction with the public.
