General Sales Manager (Full Time)

The construction equipment sales manager trains, supervises and supports a company's sales team to supply construction equipment, products, and services to individuals and construction contractors, municipalities, and utilities in Missouri and Illinois. The manager will need to provide customer service to clients and businesses, as well as establish vendor relations with manufacturers and other suppliers. Administrative tasks generally include managing customer accounts and updating customer information, such as contact and billing methods.

The manager will also establish budgetary restrictions and measure costs for all of the company's projects. In the sales aspect of the profession, the manager might need to propose marketing and promotions campaigns, perform demonstrations, maintain inventory, and establish procurement policies. The manager will need to research and be familiar with new construction technologies and equipment, ensure the company's services comply with state and federal regulations, and provide written reports on all aspects of the sales department. A specific sales territory may be assigned when necessary. Some sales training will be provided per supplier. Candidate must be familiar with the construction trades, energetic and well organized. Compensation will be based on industry experience.

Hours:

Monday-Friday
7:00 A.M.-5:00 P.M.

Educational Requirements

The job of sales manager requires a bachelor's degree. Some relevant majors for construction sales managers include, but are not limited to business administration, marketing, construction science, and technical sales management.

Experience Requirements

This position requires a minimum of two years' in sales or construction experience.
